Clearing RAM

NOTICE! THIS ROM CARD HAS BEEN DISCONTINUED AS OF JANUARY 1999!

The CLEARING RAM process has been greatly simplified via FLOPPY DRIVE, so the procedure described below only applies to your product if it has NO FLOPPY DRIVE underneath the motherboard. If you are using DISCONTINUED ROM CARD, it plugs into the PROM SLOT on motherboard. (SEE: MOTHERBOARD DIAGRAM).

CLEAR RAM ON DISCONTINUED ROM CARD:
1. Turn off power to the game (power off).
2. Remove the top shunt (small black jumper) located above U28 (see ROM-CARD DIAGRAM below).
3. With shunt removed, power the game back on (power on). The game may or may not power up all the way. Either case is fine.
4. Turn power back off.
5. Replace and put the shunt back in its original position.
6. Power the game back up. "MEMORY CORRUPTED" should now be displayed if you have successfully cleared SRAM.
7. Press test switch inside cabinet and you are finished.

NOTE: On rare occasions, memory may not clear with only one shunt removed. If "MEMORY CORRUPTED" is not displayed, repeat this procedure with all three top shunts removed.
